We’ve signed up with CPI, new magazines coming
Many of you have asked what’s been going on with us and now we can tell you a few things about our future plans.
Both Crystal and I have signed up with CPI in Dubai where we’ll be heading up their brand new Consumer Technology Publishing. I’ll be Group Editor and Crystal will take charge of business development, including advertising sales.
This means that if we’ve been working with you before we’ll most likely be in touch with you again in the near future. CPI is launching Macworld, PCWorld and GameWorld Middle East editions. GameWorld is probably better known as GamePro. First issues should be out early next month. Web sites, Twitter accounts and all the rest of it should be up soon, if they are not already.
We think we’ll offer something new and exciting to the market, both to advertisers and readers.
What does this mean for other things?
- EmiratesMac.com will continue of course. We’re planning to start up the monthly meetings again really soon and hopefully we can give Apple fans a much better experience.
- The weekly radio show continues with James and I chatting about the latest gadgets, tech news and more. You can find the show notes at www.dxbtech.com. Check it out every Tuesday at 9pm on Dubai Eye 103.8.
- City 7 TV’s Geeks.Gadgets.Techs. has faced some delays but as far as I know it’s still on for airing “soon.”
- I will continue to write the weekly articles for Khaleej Times. You can find them all here.
